|The Research + Education Group (R+E) is Oregon’s only research organization dedicated solely to HIV disease. R+E is a community-based, public non-profit research consortium based in Portland, Oregon.
R+E includes physicians, mid-level practitioners, and other healthcare professionals committed to providing access to AIDS clinical trials of new and investigational drugs, and to study promising HIV therapies.
R+E offers research opportunities to persons with HIV disease in Oregon and Southwest Washington. A network of clinical trial sites has been established to broaden the knowledge base of HIV treatment and to provide persons with HIV and their healthcare providers access to the latest treatment information.
R+E is the Northwest AIDS Education and Training Center’s (NW AETC) Oregon state office. NW AETC is headquartered in Seattle at the University of Washington. As part of their network, R+E provides HIV treatment education, clinical consultation, and technical assistance to other health care professionals throughout Oregon, Southwest Washington and parts of Idaho.
The R+E Group is closely affiliated with the Multnomah County Department of Health’s HIV Health Services Center (HHSC) in Portland, which is both a NW AETC subcontractor and the largest Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Modernization Act Part C clinic in Oregon. Please contact us at R+E and visit the NW AETC website to learn more about our programs, trainings, and resources.
